College Entrance Exams
How Are My Exam Scores Used
CNM and UNM use college entrance exam scores for placement purposes ONLY ; your scores are used to determine placement in English and Mathematics classes.
CNM's Accuplacer Exam
The Accuplacer is a measuring tool used to determine the level of classes you are prepared to take at CNM. There are few things you can do to ensure you get the best results possible.
- Take a practice Accuplacer
- Once you’ve completed the practice Accuplacer, grade your answers using the answer key at the end of the practice. Note which questions were difficult for you. Tutoring services are also available to you at all CNM campuses.
- Students can take the Acuplacer at CNM or at New Futures School. See Barbara in the Counseling Office to schedule an Accuplacer Exam
ACT Exam
Fee waivers are available for all of our students, so there is no cost to take this exam. We recommend students take the ACT for the first time in the spring (April) of their junior year. Talk to your counselor to get a fee waiver and for assistance with registration. Our school code is 320-033.
