Why Have a Dress Code?
- To promote a safe and respectful learning environment
Benefits of a Dress Code:
- Limits violence in schools
- Helps students focus on academics
- Promotes safety and inclusiveness
New Futures Dress Code Policy
No student in any APS setting may wear clothing that contains:
- Obscene or violent language or images
- Depictions of alcohol or drugs or other illegal items or activities
- Racist content, hate speech, profanity, or pornography
- Accessories that could be considered dangerous or used as a weapon
- Undergarments may not be worn as outerwear or should not be visible
- Hoodies may not cover the face

- 1st Offense: Staff/Student Contact* and student will be provided a change of clothes
- 2nd Offense: Staff/Student Contact*, Administrative/Parent Contact/Conference
- 3rd Offense: Staff/Student Contact*, Administrative/Parent Contact/Conference, and Student Contract
